Fuel tank cleaning

Having the necessary and modern equipment, it is in a position to provide integrated solutions for the cleaning of fuel storage tanks.

In short, the procedure consists in the following steps:

  • Sampling and laboratory analysis of the tank's residues.
  • Selecting the appropriate chemicals for the cleaning of the tank.
  • Using the appropriate equipment (explosion-proof pumps) for drawing the fluids and pumpable fuel oils from the tank.
  • Collecting and transferring pumpable residues with company-owned and ADR certified tankers to the licensed PELCO premises for processing.
  • Using the appropriate equipment (pressurised water machines and selected chemicals) for cleaining solid residues from the bottom and the walls of the tank.
  • Collecting and transferring fluid residues and cleaning suspensions with company-owned and ADR certified tankers to the licensed PELCO premises for processing.
  • Resuming the cleaning cycle if necessary.
  • Issuing a Gas Free certificate.
  • Issuing a processing/recovery of waste generated during waste cleaning.
